The abrupt transition from the BC curriculum to IB MYP was purely a cash grab. Tuition seemingly goes toward basic operations with almost nothing left for classroom materials or learning support. Thrown into the deep end: A team of three teachers with zero MYP experience was assigned six subjects across Grades 7–9 without unit plans, training, or curriculum guides. Classroom chaos: Students were neither academically nor behaviorally ready for the rigor of IB. High needs and disruptive behavioral cases are routinely accepted mid-year for financial reasons, leaving teachers with zero support to manage them. Constant disruptions: Class time is routinely derailed for marketing events, mid-week school promotions, and weekend camps. Students missing school for long vacations are common, yet teachers are offered no framework to manage the fallout.
