Administration & Leadership The admin team is reliably organized and largely keeps out of your daily routine. Onboarding and visa logistics run smoothly, and payroll is never an issue. When it comes to the classroom, leadership takes a strictly hands-off approach. They rarely intervene unless parents or students raise a formal concern. When complaints do happen, admin typically handles them professionally, hearing out the teacher's side rather than reacting defensively. They also back staff up during grading disputes, which makes navigating parent expectations much easier. Outside of mandatory compliance, there is no forced professional development; if you find training or a workshop you want to attend, admin is generally quick to approve the budget. Academics & Teaching Culture The workload is entirely manageable, particularly if you have taught AP before. You will not face administrative pressure to supervise extracurriculars or take on unpaid duties, though they gladly support you if you pitch your own club. The student body is driven, capable, and easy to manage day to day. Discipline issues are practically nonexistent. That said, the environment is intensely results-oriented. Students face heavy pressure to pull top marks, which leads to two notable dynamics: Grade Inflation: It is prevalent across the board, though easier to tolerate because the kids do put in genuine effort. Escalation Culture: If students dislike a grade or struggle with a teaching style, their first instinct is often to go straight to admin rather than talk to the teacher directly. As long as your grading criteria are clear and documented, admin treats these situations as minor friction rather than a performance issue. Overall, the academic environment gives you plenty of autonomy, dependable administrative backing, and a student body that takes the work seriously.
