To my fellow international school teachers: if you value your career, your sanity, and your professional dignity, think very carefully before signing a contract here. What is advertised as a supportive NAE environment is actually a masterclas.s in weaponized bureaucracy, corporate PUA, and quiet removal. Here is the unfiltered reality of how the system is currently being used to push out teachers: 1. "Success Factors" or Unsuccessful Factors? The school utilizes a performance management platform called Success Factors, but in practice, it functions strictly as a tool for intimidation and paper-trailing. The Overnight Failure Paradox: Teachers who have been at Leman for years with consistent "Good" ratings suddenly find themselves labeled as "causes for concern" out of nowhere. Teaching ability doesn't collapse overnight. Instead, the system’s criteria are flexible enough that any professional disagreement with leadership is twisted into a performance failure. It is an escalation mechanism, not a support tool. 2. Robert Dolan's "Action Plan" Conveyor Belt Targeting Staff: Head of Primary, Robert Dolan, appears to be on a personal mission to place staff on his infamous "action plans" simply to manage them out. The Atrium Disappearance: Once a teacher is placed on one of these plans under the guise of "coaching," the countdown begins. A term or a month later, they quietly disappear from the staff photos in the atrium. There is zero transparency, fairness, or constructive resolution—just a tidy way to remove the "problem." 3. Zero Tolerance for Truth (Even Safeguarding) If you dare to lock horns with Robert Dolan or Principal Connor over core school policies—especially regarding child safeguarding—you will be pushed out the door immediately. To show you just how cutthroat this environment has become: A highly respected colleague with 26 years of teaching experience (15 of those with Nord Anglia Education) was recently managed out using Dolan’s action plan system. If an NAE veteran of that caliber can have their decades of expertise erased over a disagreement, absolutely no one is safe.
